What I collect
When you send the inquiry form I receive what you type: your name, how you prefer to be contacted, your phone number or email address, the best time to reach you, the project city and ZIP code, whether the project is residential or commercial, and anything you add about the service you need, the flooring you are interested in, the rooms, the existing floor, the reason for the project, timing, size, how you would like to meet and your message. The page you sent it from, the site that referred you here, any campaign tags in the link you arrived by, and the flooring or brand page you last viewed on this visit are included so I know where inquiries come from.
I do not ask for a home address, payment details or any identity document at this stage.
Why
To reply to your inquiry by the method you chose, to prepare for a conversation or a site visit, and to know where inquiries come from. Sending the form is not consent to marketing messages.
No sale
I do not sell, rent or trade your details, and I do not share them with anyone except the services named below, each of which is needed to receive and answer your inquiry.
Children
This site is for adults arranging flooring work. I do not knowingly collect anything from a child, and nothing on the site is aimed at children. If you believe a child has sent me details, email me and I will delete them.
Who processes it
- Web3Forms delivers the form as an email to me. Web3Forms states that it does not store submissions beyond short-term server logs, which it deletes every two months.
- The email arrives in my business mailbox, hosted by Microsoft 365.
- If you book a consultation through my Google booking page, Google collects the details you enter there under its own privacy policy.
- The two videos of David on this site are files served from the site itself; nothing plays until you press play, and no video service sets a cookie.
- The website is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. If the link you arrived by carries campaign tags, or you view a flooring or brand page, your browser keeps those tags and the page in session storage until you close the tab, along with the site that referred you.
How long I keep it
Inquiry emails are kept while your project is open and for up to three years afterwards for warranty records, then deleted.
How I protect it
The form is sent over an encrypted connection, and nothing you type is kept by this website: Web3Forms holds its server logs for up to two months, and the email I receive is what I keep.
Your choices
To see, correct or delete what you sent, email david@carolinasflooring.com. You can also simply call instead of using the form.
